COVID-19 Response and Updates

Pacific Lutheran believes the COVID-19 pandemic has unfortunately negatively impacted students' educational development for the past  two-plus years ago after being told by health officials that it would be "two weeks to slow the curve" and then life would get back to normal.  

Pacific Lutheran makes every effort to follow sensible health-related guidelines as it is able to do so and at the same time encourages a fear-free environment for its students and staff.  We are walking together with God's grace and peace as we navigate dealing with the COVID endemic now before us.

Pacific Lutheran does not require any COVID-related shots for its school community as these shots neither prevent one from getting COVID-19 nor prevent COVID-infected individuals from spreading their COVID infection to other people.  Existing data indicates the efficacy of these shots significantly wanes after a few months which means our school would then need to issue an endless series of requirements for "booster" shots which the school can't in good conscience require.

 Many within our school community also believe that the fetal-stem lines related to the currently-approved COVID vaccines prevent Christians from receiving these treatments with a clear conscience.  No judgmental spirit is taken towards those who receive the shots just as no judgment is allowed towards those who don't receive the shots.
